#TEDTalkTuesday - Sam Bems' Philosophy for a Happy Life

Its been a few Tuesdays since  a TED Talk post and today’s featured presentation is a great one to start with. I know that we’re almost a third of the way through 2014 but is it too late to say “Happy New Year!”?

The first time I heard about Sam Berns was actually in a previous TED Talk featuring NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins. Dr. Collins interviewed Sam about living with the extremely rare rapid aging disease Progeria. Back in October (2013) Sam was able to be a presenter at the TEDx Mid-Atlantic conference. In that talk Sam discussed his personal philosophy on happiness. Unfortunately earlier this year in January Sam passed away at the age of 17 due to complications of Progeria. In his brief 17 years of life Sam came up with a simple yet inspirational philosophy on how to find contentment.
